This is a book about death, the Death Twins to be precise. Death and final judgement happen to us all but are scary for a middle schooler. This book tries to find a space to explore by meeting the Deaths.

Fionan does not want death to ever happen. His wife has just died and he walks with his two young girls, Cece and Nelka, into a strange store. He verbalizes how no one should have to die and the storekeeper offers him a small jar. Fionan accepts but doesn’t realize that he now controls Death. Based on the Greek myth, one is the Peaceful Death Thanatos and the other is the Violent Death Ker. They modernize their names to Boysenberry and Aquamarine.
